How To Status Match Delta To Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles Elite
/Delta SkyMiles Gold Medallion, Platinum Medallion and Diamond Medallion members can status match to Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles Elite, their 2nd highest membership tier. Here, I’ll guide you through all the details, the matching process and the benefits of Miles & Smiles Elite status.

Status Matching Delta To Turkish Miles & Smiles Elite
Turkish Airlines will initially match your Delta SkyMiles Gold, Platinum or Diamond Medallion status to Miles & Smiles Elite for 4 months. Fly on an international Turkish Airlines flight within those 4 months and they’ll then extend your Elite status by another 8 months.
Additionally, if you earn 15,000 Miles in that 1st year, your Elite status will be extended by another year. That means you can get 2 years of Turkish Elite status by matching from Delta.
How To Complete The Status Match
To match from Delta, first, sign up for a Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles account if you haven’t already. Once you’ve got an account, note down your Turkish Airlines Number (TK#).
Next, head to your Delta SkyMiles account and sign in. Head to ‘My SkyMiles’ then take one screenshot which shows the front of your digital SkyMiles card, expiry date and status. I’d also click ‘View Back’ and take a 2nd screenshot showing the back of your card for good measure.
Next, click ‘My Account Activity’ and take a screenshot showing at least your previous 2 months of Delta flights.
Now you’ve got all you need to complete the status match, log back in to your Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles account.
From the menu, select Feedback > New Feedback > Miles and Smiles Program > Membership Processes.
There, under ‘Your File’, upload the 2 screenshots of your Delta SkyMiles card (front and back), and the screenshot of your recent Delta activity. Use the written template below to fill in the text section under ‘Your Feedback’:

Unlike most status matches, matching to Turkish Airlines can take a while and you might need to be persistent. Whilst some people get their status matched within a few days, others wait over a month and have to send multiple requests.
